Welcome! I am a 38-year old mother to two beautiful boys and
one sweet angel; Mason age 5, Jake age 4 and Sienna 9 months. I’ve always
been what my family would call an “at-home fitness junkie” although I did contribute to a gym membership for
too many years.
My very first program started back in 2002 with trainer Tony Horton.
Power 90 was the start to realizing I can reach my fitness goals in my living
room. Over the years I continued with many Beachbody programs like p90x, Slim
in 6 and Insanity. Although I was not new to Beachbody and exercise, my real
and everlasting fitness journey began a year after my second son was born.
After gaining 60 pounds with my first pregnancy and 45 with my second, I
started to lose myself. I decided I needed to find something fun and motivating
to help me get out of the funk I was in. Unfortunately, “time” played a
big role in my life, as we mothers know we did not have much of it, especially with
two boys under two, working a full-time job as a teacher and maintaining a home.
So I continued another at-home, upbeat, kickboxing program called Turbo Fire
with trainer Chalene Johnson. It was fun, energetic and exactly what I needed
at that time. The baby weight was melting off as I was finding my true self
again. Eventually with the support of my husband, we dove into the Insanity
program with trainer Shaun T. People started noticing how much my body was
changing, which motivated me to keep going. Since then I have completed a
variety of additional programs including PiYo, T25, and P90x3. I have also
incorporated a daily dose of dense superfood nutrition, Shakeology.
The one struggle I’ve always had was the ability to stay consistent. I was the girl who
busted her butt come March and April (to obviously get ready for the summer),
until Fall and Winter came, in which I began to hibernate. After posting on
social media how I was about to start the new Chalene Johnson Pilates/Yoga fusion,
PiYo, an old high-school friend reached out to me about the coaching
opportunity. WOW!!!…If I knew then what I know now, I would have jumped on this opportunity so
much sooner. I already owned an entire library collection of Beachbody programs
: ) So, why not?! After a few weeks of contemplating, I decided to give it a
try. If all I had to do was workout and share my results with others, then it
was a no brainer for me; I was already doing that anyway. It all started great.
I had fantastic results, ran some private accountability groups with friends
and made some extra cash on the side. Life was good!
In September of 2014, my life was about to get better. I announced that
I was pregnant with baby number 3! Woo Hoo! What did this mean for me? Well, my
life was on track, planned out perfectly and looking forward to another blessing.
What wasn’t planned…the constant
aching of every bone in my body, the overindulgence of ice cream on a daily
basis, and NO EXERCISE (not the choice of my doctors). “Here we go,” I
thought. Inconsistency ruled my life
once again. In my head I planned to be the pregnant girl who exercised
regularly and stayed fit throughout this time of my life. Yeah right! The only
good thing I had was the super dense nutritional shake that I was lucky enough
to not have to give up while pregnant. YUM!
In May of 2015, my daughter was born. Although I was overjoyed with
having a little girl, when I looked in the mirror I felt defeated, depressed
and terrified I would never be able to lose the 50 pounds I gained or change
the disgusting bad habits formed in the past 9 months. I began a Summer Slim
Down Challenge in July, which completely changed my life.
It took me 21 Days!!
21 days to break my plateau and finally get results, 21 days
to gain more energy and get my eating habits under control, but my favorite
part was 21 days of taking care of my health and remembering that loving myself
was and will always be the most important part of this journey.
I found this is a great way to help you stay accountable,
motivated, empowered to STAY consistent in getting healthy, and to help remind
you to love yourself through the process! I can honestly say, for the first
time, CONSISTENCY has paid off! I have been consistent for 7 months and I love
every single step of this process. I TRUST this company and TRULY BELIEVE in
the endless opportunities it has created for my family and for me!
